In-depth guides

Methodology & sources

  • Ontario (Oct 26): candidate lists from the AMO 2026 municipal-election portal — the official province-wide sync of each clerk's certified list. School trustees excluded (not covered by AMO).
  • BC (Oct 17): CivicInfo BC jurisdiction pages, fed by local Chief Election Officers, cross-checked against the Elections BC registered-candidate registry. Candidate-published websites/socials included where the CEO page lists them.
  • Manitoba (Oct 28): mbvotes.ca 2026 public API. School boards not covered.
  • Candidates are listed exactly as certified. “Incumbent”, “Unopposed”, “Previously elected” come from the official source, not our inference. Municipal elections are non-partisan; where a BC candidate lists an elector organization, we show it as self-declared.
